Pumpkin Carving

Last night we carved pumpkins!
Logan and Daddy are making the same face!

Ward Halloween Party

Saturday was my birthday and what a nice one it was. We started off by going to the temple and doing baptisms for Trav's great great grandparents William and Ollie Alcorn. I've been spending a bit of time lately doing some family history on the Alcorn line and have found quite a few names, so it was a special experience to be able to do the work for them. I think we will be doing the rest of the baptisms this weekend with Trav's parents in the Logan temple. After the temple we had lunch and cake with the family. Thanks for helping me celebrate and thanks to Laura for babysitting while we went to the temple! After all of that we spent the evening at our ward Halloween party,  here are some pics:

Corn Maize

We went with the Jones family to the corn maze in Payson. (Thanks for taking us!) :) Here are some pics of our fun little outing. Mostly of Logan being cute.

October Fun

October is a favorite month of mine. I love fall (every summer in Utah seems hotter than the last), I love Halloween, and it's my birthday month! This October we did some fun things. We had two Halloween parties, one was a murder mystery dinner at Jay and Lisa's, and the second was just a little get together at our place.
Party at Jay's:

Bret (Trav's cousin) and his wife Vanessa, Me, Travis, Lisa, Jay, Nate (from work), his wife Sarah

Rollin through Memorial Day

Yesterday was truly a day of remembrance. We were enjoying our Memorial Day quietly at home. I was talking on the phone and Jo was on the computer while little Logan was "not-so" enjoying his tummy time on the floor. After a few moments of conversation on the phone, I glanced over and saw that Logan was on his back! Both Jolene and I missed his first roll-over, but we got another chance today. I got home from work today and Jolene showed me this video of Logan. I think he inherited his buff muscles from his daddy (hehe) a little early because we weren't expecting him to roll quite yet. Looks like we need to start keeping  a closer eye on the little guy. :) enjoy the video! If the video doesn't work, here is a link to it on youtube. :D   http://youtu.be/hb0Q5QD_xnY

Our Garden

So, a little while ago I got the idea that it would be fun to make a vegetable garden, since we finally have a back yard to put one in! I got online and started doing a little research, and I used this website http://www.smartgardener.com/ to help me plan it all out. I got Travis on board and we got to work! This is our first attempt at growing our own veggies!

A New Beginning

A lot has happened since our last post in December. Love has increased. Lives have changed. Magic has happened. Previous posts to this one covered a different chapter in our lives. A chapter in which our posts now seem to have been inferior, mundane and, at times even silly. We had a great time the past few years as we were able to grow closer together as a couple and develop charity towards each other. We have been able to travel, try new things and be spontaneous, but now we happily move on to the next novel of our lives, parenthood.
